A CASE OF ALLERGIC CHEILITIS CAUSED BY LIPSTICK

Abstract

|
We present a case of allergic cheil.itis in 21-year-old female. She had slight erythematous scaly patches and fissures on both lip before 2 months. Through the history taking we suspected that the causative contactant was lipstick. The patch test with cosmetic series, standard series, lipstick "as is", eosin was done.
We confirmed the diagnosis by patch test and the causative allergen was lanolin which was one of the composition of the lipstick.
